I bought the deluxe Europe 72 box. Some of the shows are incredible but... but... I feel like a bunch of the first sets were just the same stuff each night. Not to say that I won't listen to one and love it, it's just that I can see your point. That said, I'd much rather have anything from '72 than most anything in '87 (although I was "on the bus" in '87 and in 1972 was probably playing my cut out Bobby Sherman/Bobby Goldsboro '45 cut off the back of a box of cereal).

Yes, I'm coming to a burn out point now, in my project to rate the top 30 shows of the era.
I approached it by doing one a day, 4-5 days/wk at work. Even while skipping through the years, I think I need to slow it down.

I look forward to finishing anyhow, I've listened to, since December or November (not sure when I started), 50 of the 123 nominated shows...

A bone I have to pick with certain years...
Case in point, 86 shows in 1972...
I call to the stand:

Row Jimmy, 46 times, 53%

Koch, once an idiom, always an idiotic idiot !!!

Yes, correct, 63 times in 1973, out of 73 shows: 86%
I'm glad I could make you feel better about yourself through negativity.

Wow. Cut-out 45's! That brings back memories. Can't be sure, but I have some dim memory of having a copy of "Snoopy and the Red Baron" in that format. Not exactly flac, but not to bad if you're 6.
